Success story: raw honey and coconut oil

Reproduced from reddit.com:

Hello everyone !

I first developed Seb Derm when I was 8 years old. I didn’t have it on my scalp but all over my face and neck. Imagine scaly bright red skin – looked a bit like some disease all over my face and neck during school. Booooo!

Dermatologists gave me hydrocortisone which of course made it go for a little while and then brought it back with a vengeance. Anything on my face flared it up – couldn’t go swimming, no make up, crying about it literally made it worse haha.

When I was 17 I took a year out to try different remedies. I studied aromatherapy – calling half the aromatherapists in the UK asking for advice. Interestingly I did find an oil that sort of helped but really I was looking for something to give me clear skin. I really wanted the redness to go.

I found this: https://rosaceagroup.org/The_Rosacea_Forum/showthread.php?20789-Seb-derm-Treating-seborrheic-dermatitis-with-raw-honey-and-virgin-coconut-oil

To be honest, my initial thought was “that is not going to work” – in my mind anything that wasn’t some sort of strong smelling, tea tree esk type thing – wasn’t going to work. But I followed Auburns recommendations/methods and I saw my neck for the first time. It completely cleared my skin up. No redness. No flakes. I felt normal 🙂 plus there has been a study showing Raw honey has been effective.

Important note: do not use refined coconut oil. You must use coconut oil that has been unrefined – white and bulky. I use Bionas coconut oil. Raw honey (like this) has become quite the trend – you don’t need Manuka.

Anyway please follow the link ! All the best everyone – it really is a rubbish condition but there truly is something out there for everyone. Dermatologists are wrong to think one treatment fits all.

Over and out!
